More About Justin

As for Justin, his story begins at the age of 11 when he developed an intense love for meteorology. Living in Springtown, Texas, he had a neighbor who was consistently overly analytical and prone to dramatic predictions about any and everything. On March 28, 2000, this neighbor warned of widespread tornadoes and impending doom. Initially dismissive, Justin's interest was piqued when there were indeed two tornado-related fatalities that day. This event instantly ignited his lifelong passion for weather.
Justin immediately sought out every resource available, using his grandmother's printer to gather information from the Storm Prediction Center and reading numerous books on the subject. Perhaps the comical part of Justin using his grandmother's printer was how she would be less than happy about having to constantly buy more ink and paper. His obsession with weather earned him nicknames like "The Weather Obsessed Guy," "That Weather Enthusiast," and "The Weather Addict" from friends and family.
In 2010, during his time in the United States Air Force, Justin discovered his unknown love for storm chasing. Inspired by Reed Timmer's footage of the 2007 Ellis County, Oklahoma tornado, this made his passion for meteorology grow even stronger. By the spring of 2011, Justin was deeply immersed into the world of storm chasing, further fueling his dedication to understanding and documenting severe weather. The rest, as they say, is history.
