Episode 1
2024 Summary

2024 was a year with a late start and so many chases back to back but that would only hurt me later into the season. Though, I did achieve new things on my unlisted storm chasing checklist. Just to be mean, I will not say what those things are, at this time, but you will learn more about them as those episodes are posted here. I think part of the reason behind my success this year was this series. Prior to this series, I would always aim to capture quality photo and video, but I would be content with capturing just photos, if it really came to it. That all changed when this series became my new reality. How could I better summarize the year? Let’s see, there were two tornadoes I witnessed in Nebraska and one in Kansas. While those are small numbers by comparison to other chasers, that’s also having to do everything on my own, which has its own stressors. There was definitely a big lack this year though, especially comparing it to last year. I did not capture as many structure shots as I had in past years and I definitely did not have any hail intercepts. To make it worse, while I got one day of pretty ok lightning, it was much more tame by comparison. I will warn you that the season does start out slow but it does get more exciting after episode 3. There’s also a massive treat coming your way in August and it’s something that is a personal best record for my storm chasing experiences. One of the other episodes you will see is one of my personal favorite edits, regardless that it’s related to storm chasing. I think it’s the pacing that really does it for me but I also did push myself to make it really good. I can’t wait to see what you say about it. I’ll see you throughout the series but first, let’s get ready for the first chase. One that was quite the teaser but would only prove to be a disappointment up until the last minute. See you again soon and thank you for being a viewer and supporter of this series.
